Getting Started Video Series for Login VSI

Getting Started video series for Login VSI

I learned that Jurassic World brought $511.8 million in revenue in its first few days. This made me think about updating the Getting Started videos for Login VSI 4.x. With more than 10,000 views in one year, the previous Getting Started video was *almost* as successful as Jurassic World. I’m hoping better CGI, more explosions and even more realistic screen captures will skyrocket view numbers.

In this updated getting started video, I will guide you through the complete setup and configuration of Login VSI, all the way to analyzing your first test results. If you chose to start with this video rather than the product documentation, you will be well on your way very fast.

Part 1: Walkthrough of the prerequisites, architecture overview, download binaries and installation

The first video is a walkthrough of the prerequisites, an overview of the architecture and a short explanation on how to download the binaries and to request your free Login VSI trial license.

Part 2: Test platform setup and configuration of your first test

In this video, you can see how to activate the software, create test user accounts in Active Directory, create and share the VSIshare. Also you will get a description on how to configure Login VSI to connect to your RDSH farm for performance tests.

Part 3: Executing the first test and analyzing results

Last but not least, I will show you how to execute your first performance test and begin analyzing the results. If you would like a deeper dive into analyzing results, check this video I made a while back.

I hope these videos helped you out installing Login VSI, you would do me a great pleasure if you would share this using this fancy pre-populated tweet :).

Citrix XenApp and XenDesktop

Update: For those of you setting up Citrix XenApp or XenDesktop environments I have created an additional version of the getting started video including all Citrix components. In this video you will learn how to setup Login VSI to start testing XenApp/Xendesktop via StoreFront in no time.

Ps. also make sure to check out the getting started videos for Login PI.
