Login VSI supports Windows 10 for virtualized desktop performance testing
How will Windows 10 perform in your virtualized desktop environment?
On the first day of October last year, I got my hands on the technology preview of Microsoft Windows 10. Of course, I immediately checked if Login VSI would run on this brand new operating system. Within hours after the release I was able to verify that all tests ran smoothly.
It’s now almost ten months later and I’m sure that you saw the news about the Windows 10 release yesterday (Build 10240 to be precise). I booted my lab virtual machines and took the stable version of Windows 10 for a run. With great pleasure, I inform you that Login VSI officially supports Windows 10 as of today.
Login VSI can simulate virtual users on Windows 10
I would like to congratulate Microsoft on this release and the awesome way they connected with technology enthusiasts by continuously releasing bits to the public collecting feedback and creating interest. Needless to say, I had my updates configured to be in the fast ring :-)
Some excellent articles and useful resources have already been written describing all that’s new, these are some of my favorites:
- Microsoft – Windows 10 FAQ
- Microsoft – Preparing to upgrade one billion devices
- Brian Madden - Unlike Windows 7, Windows 10 adoption will be easy
