Prianto is new distributor of VDI benchmarking tool Login VSI

Amsterdam/Munich, March 5, 2013 - Login VSI B.V., a leading vendor of load testing software for Virtual Desktop Infrastructures and Server Based Computing environments, announces a cooperation with Knowledge Based Distributor Prianto for Germany, Austria, Switzerland, the Benelux and the United Kingdom. This cooperation allows Prianto to offer Login VSI to their partners at attractive terms and conditions.

By adding the products of Dutch software company Login VSI to the portfolio, Prianto expands its expertise in the VDI and SBC market. Login VSI is recognized by IT experts as the de-facto industry standard benchmarking tool for VDI and SBC environments.

“With Login VSI we offer our partners the perfect tool to give the best advice and support to their customers before and during VDI and SBC projects”, says William Geens, CEO and founder of Prianto. “To offer the best end-user experience, it is not only important to test the optimal software and hardware configuration during the project phase, but also to keep doing this during production. Software updates for instance can have a huge negative impact on the performance of the infrastructure”.

Jos Dikhoff, Sales Director at Login VSI explains about the new partnership: “We see an increasing demand in the market to test the performance of VDI and SBC environments. More and more companies are starting to realize that a good desktop performance is essential for satisfied and productive employees. We are happy to work with Prianto and think they are the right distribution partner with technical know-how to offer our solution in an effective way to the market”.

Andreas Fleischmann, Technical Consultant at Prianto is also convinced of the benefits of this new agreement: “The addition of Login VSI to our portfolio strengthens our competence in virtualization and Server Based Computing environments. With our years of experience, we will complement this tool with the best possible service and know how, which is critical in VDI and SBC environments”.

Scalability testing Parallels Remote Application Server with Login VSI

Recently I went to VMworld in Barcelona where Login VSI had a booth on the expo... While I can’t remember exactly how many conversations I had - there had been so many that I lost my voice on day one. What was new this year is that quite a few people asked if our software is compatible with the solutions from Parallels specifically their Remote Application Server (RAS) (Datasheet). Windows 10 Default File Type Associations and Login VSI

When Login VSI 4.1 was released, the majority of desktops were running Windows 7 and life was easy. We’d set the default filetype for an application and it would simply work. The default and industry standard workloads in Login VSI include launching and using Adobe Reader as part of the virtual user simulation. Because Login VSI doesn’t always know which version of Adobe Reader is installed, or where it’s installed, the workload relies on the file type association (FTA) for .pdf documents to be… Continue Reading

Investigating Online Application Performance with Login PI

As many companies do, we use a CRM system. Recently, I have been getting complaints about our cloud CRM system, Microsoft Dynamics, being slow. I tried to investigate this by shadowing one of our users to see what was wrong. As expected, everything was fast. 15 minutes later, the same user reported slowness again. How could I investigate this without bothering the users? Continue Reading
