Improve the DTAP Process and Increase IT Productivity with Login AM

Improve the DTAP Process and Increase IT Productivity

Many organizations struggle to implement a predictable and ‘first-time-right’ process for deploying changes to the Windows systems in their datacenters. Hosted desktop environments are home to many end user applications and are particularly change intensive.

Many organizations that turn to a DTAP (Development, Test, Acceptance and Production) process in an effort to maximize the reliability of their production systems are often faced with a costly and slow process that, in the end, doesn’t seem to deliver on the promise. By implementing a properly sized DTAP process we believe we can not only increase the reliability of your production systems, but also increase the rate at which you are able to handle those ‘first-time-right’ changes.

With Login AM, administrators are able to rapidly deploy development, test and acceptance environments that are identical to the production environment and transfer changes easily between environments by simply exporting from one environment and importing them into the next.

In an effort to speed-up the DTAP process even more, the upcoming Login AM 2015R2 release will allow administrators to compare two environment side-by-side to identify and transfer changes between them even faster or even simply right-click a package, layer or collection and ‘send it’ over to the next environment.

We already got it in beta! Interested to seeing this feature in action? Request a demo of Login AM.

What our customers are saying

Randy Groves - Teradici

"As the developer of the PCoIP protocol, we do a lot of our own internal benchmarking to make sure that we’re continuing to improve our protocol. But we can’t actually publish our internal benchmarks because everybody might think that the tests are biased. So when we want to publish results, we use Login VSI. That way, if a customer wants to repeat our results they can.”

Randy Groves, CTO at Teradici

Maarten Bruijnesteijn - PPG

"We are using Login VSI for hardware scaling. By testing the number of users that can run on our environment, we know the amount of hardware that we will need upfront. We also use Login VSI in our production acceptance process to test changes to the system to evaluate changes to the environment."

Maarten Bruijnesteijn, System Software Analyst at PPG Industries

Rob Girard - Tintri

"You would be somewhat nuts to go to production with VDI without first and constantly re-evaluating with Login VSI. Always run all your changes through it so there are no surprises. Surprises in VDI never just hit one or two users--it's all or nothing.”

Rob Girard, Technical Marketing Engineer at Tintri
