The Login AM solution delivers support of Application Deployment and server configuration complex environments with a unique level of automation. The solution eases the stress and the workload in organizations that deal with time-consuming and labor-intensive deployment and maintenance of complex environments.

Reduce effort and cost

Implementing Login AM helps reduce management and maintenance effort and cost, while raising the quality of the change process, with less incidents and questions from users within the company. Early users of Login AM have benefitted from the solution’s ease of implementation, without the need for lengthy and costly change and redesign processes in the IT service organization.

Issues solved

Jeroen van de Kamp, CTO of Login VSI, is excited about what Login AM 2014 can bring its customers in Europe and the US. “Login AM 2014 solves the issues of medium and large size organizations that need to maintain a large IT management work force to handle changes. Login AM 2014 offers a user-friendly and effective form of automated management, resulting in extreme levels of standardization and cost reduction.”

Proven technology

The Login AM solution is ‘proven technology’ in complex global organizations like DHL. Login AM managed to design the Login AM architecture for this organization in eight weeks. The benefits in DHL’s organization were stunning. In this particular case, the server farm size was reduced by 25% (800 servers are currently maintained by four operators). Implementation of Login AM resulted in reduced server (re-)build time by 80%, only 2 percent incidents on average on every 400 changes and a ROI within 18 months with 50% of savings achieved through implementation of the new Management Framework.

What are the key characteristics of Login AM 2014?

Login AM:

  • is a solution that helps automate the deployment and maintenance of new and existing IT environments
  • supports Application Deployment, Access and Management tasks in complex environments.
  • is product-independent and implementing the solution in an IT-environment allows organizations to obtain standardization and ease of maintenance
  • is a fully customizable environment that allows organizations to replace or augment third party tools to ensure standardization and facilitates the change management process.
  • is a lightweight product (build once, use and reuse often) and has affordable licenses.

The promise of Login AM

Login AM offers a more reliable platform, with identical servers. It also brings better service agility and a reduction of incidents and less need for trouble-shooting due to a high level of automation. This results in an increase of user productivity in organizations by a decrease in planned (and unplanned) downtime. In short: Login AM reduces deployment and maintenance effort and cuts cost.

Recently I went to VMworld in Barcelona where Login VSI had a booth on the expo... While I can’t remember exactly how many conversations I had - there had been so many that I lost my voice on day one. Windows 10 Default File Type Associations and Login VSI

When Login VSI 4.1 was released, the majority of desktops were running Windows 7 and life was easy. We’d set the default filetype for an application and it would simply work. The default and industry standard workloads in Login VSI include launching and using Adobe Reader as part of the virtual user simulation. Because Login VSI doesn’t always know which version of Adobe Reader is installed, or where it’s installed, the workload relies on the file type association (FTA) for .pdf documents to be… Continue Reading

Investigating Online Application Performance with Login PI

As many companies do, we use a CRM system. Recently, I have been getting complaints about our cloud CRM system, Microsoft Dynamics, being slow. I tried to investigate this by shadowing one of our users to see what was wrong. As expected, everything was fast. 15 minutes later, the same user reported slowness again. How could I investigate this without bothering the users? Continue Reading
