A customer of us is providing published Desktops for their end users on Citrix XenApp. Most of the users are provided with Thin Clients but some still require a Fat Client for traveling. A mandatory company rule dictates the use of a screensaver with password lock enabled. Due to that rule a general screensaver has been provided to fat clients and remote desktop servers. The thin clients used are only providing published desktops and are not able to have a screensaver with user authentication enabled.Add a comment

You are probably aware that Login AM will create an entry in the tracking.cache after the application installation is finished. Even when the installation failes this entry is created. To install the application again by Login AM you will have to remove the application entry from the tracking.cache and reboot to start the install phase again. By deleting the entry, Login AM will think the application is new because it is not in the tracking.cache.Add a comment

Frank Anderson (@FrankCAnderson) performed protocol tests to compare Citrix XenDesktop 5.5 (HDX) with VMware View 5 (PCoIP) and used Login VSI to generate a medium user workload. Both LAN and WAN scenarios were tested by measuring the bandwidth consumption and frame rate statistics.
