Login AM Plugins Shortcuts

The Shortcuts plugin enables the creation and publishing of shortcuts. The following methods are supported:

  • Creating a shortcut in the start menu of the user
  • Creating a shortcut on the desktop of the user
  • Creating a shortcut for all users
  • Publishing applications in; Microsoft RDS, Citrix XenDesktop and VMware View environments

Assigning a shortcut to a user is based on the Active Directory group membership.

Please note that the Login AM login script needs to be active in the user context for the shortcut plugin to function.

These are the settings that can be configured on a collection level. The values set in bold type face are the default or out-of-the-box values. Please note that the settings might be filtered using the filter icon.

Package Settings

Setting Value Description
Name * The name for the shortcut. This is a mandatory field.
Description The description of the shortcut.
Target * The target path, to e.g. the executable file, for the shortcut. This is a mandatory field.
Arguments The arguments for the target.
Working Directory * <Userprofile> Mandatory
Icon The icon file for the shortcut. When no icon file is provided the icon from the target will be used.
