merrist created the topic: Workloads: about Outlook
I continued to install the Office suite 2010 when i finished the installation of Target Setup in the target machine. Then what else should i do? Because the Outlook need to a account in order to work. And if you can't configure the Outlook's account, the Outlook will pop-up a initial wizard when you click the Outlook. So, do I need to configure the account? Or I don't need to do it because the Login VSI will to it when the test is beginning.

Hi Merrist,

The Target Deployment script will prepare the test machine with the necessary registry settings and the benchmarking user action runtimes. This includes Office/Outlook. So Outlook doesn’t need configuring (it’s all automated), so yes VSI will run user actions.

"We use Login VSI as a level set. If we are looking at a system that we are putting on brand new hardware or that we are putting in the cloud, we may see those environments completely differently but the end result is: is the user going to have a good solid happy user experience? And what Login VSI provides us on all three platforms is fairly consistent apples-to-apples comparison: is the user happy?"
