adamoz created the topic: Problem with starting test, there are no active test
Hello I configured Login VSI and created 4 Virtual machines (I'm ussing VMware esxi):
Active Directory (win 2003) ip: 192.168.1.5
VSIShare (win 2003) ip: 192.168.1.6
Target Machine (win XP) ip: 192.168.1.11
Launcher (win XP) ip: 192.168.1.12

Now I cannot start the test, this is my configuration (attachment 1)

-I dont know, what i should put as Server, so I put 192.168.1.11 Address of VM where I installed target setup
-I dont know, if the username is correct (the same value was in guide) maybe I should use one of the usernames which was created in domain when I run AD Setup?
-LAB is the name of domain in which all of my VM are, but maybe I should use the full name lab.com ??
I tried different combinations but I cannot start the test

I have this output messages (attachment 2)

And one more thing when I log on to Launcher (192.168.1.12) can I use default: 'Administrator' user, or I should rather use one of that, which was created by AD Setup?

When i create new launcher on launcher management console, how should i call it? The IP address of target machines (192.168.1.11) is ok?

I hope that I specify my problem clearly and I included all necessary information. Thanks in advance ;)

Hello,

You were actually looking in the right direction regarding the solution.

When i create new launcher on launcher management console, how should i call it? The IP address of target machines (192.168.1.11) is ok?

You need to specify the launcher by its hostname. For example in my lab the fully qualified domain name of my launcher is server40.vrc.local. When i add the launcher to the management console i use server40 as launcher name.

What our customers are saying

Todd Mace - PernixData

"Login VSI has been a great partner for us. Customers use PernixData with Login VSI to help validate their user experience. Login VSI helps to see what their performance bottlenecks are and our software helps to mediate some of that. Login VSI has been a kind of defacto standard to be able to help that validation and help the customer to be able to come up with a solution to fix it."

Todd Mace, Product Manager at PernixData

Randy Groves - Teradici

"As the developer of the PCoIP protocol, we do a lot of our own internal benchmarking to make sure that we’re continuing to improve our protocol. But we can’t actually publish our internal benchmarks because everybody might think that the tests are biased. So when we want to publish results, we use Login VSI. That way, if a customer wants to repeat our results they can.”

Randy Groves, CTO at Teradici

Kelly Murphy - Gridstore

"Ultimately, VDI is about performance. If a customer's virtual experience is not as fast as the physical experience, they don’t use it. Login VSI is great in helping us to really quantify and to show performance, to test systems and design those systems in such a way to ensure that you can deliver that kind of performance."
