aji_ece36 created the topic: Empty Log Files after executing Test configuration
Hello,

I am using Login VSI trial version and trying to execute the sample script as per the instructions in LoginVSI.com.

I have followed the Installation and configuration steps in LoginVSI.com

I could able to launch the launcher and run the test.

Please find the custom commandline :

“\\VMDC\VSIShare\CTXConnect\CTXConnector.exe” -s “http://<<IP>>/Citrix/DesktopWeb/auth/login.aspx” -u “Administrator3” -p “Passw0rd” -d “CVDI” -r “VSIGroup” -t1 5 -t2 7

After running the test, i have checked in the VSI Share for the log files.
\\VMDC\VSIShare\_VSI_Logfiles\test40
There the folders are empty.

When i try to analyze the result using Analyzer,

Please find the attachment for your reference.

Need your support on resolving this issue.

Thanks,
Ajith

Ajith,

Please check if the VSI users can write to the VSI share.

Hi Dennis,

Yes, I have created Administrator3 as a VSI user, I have login into the Virtual desktop with VSI User (Administrator3) credentials. And from there i could able to access login VSI Share.

Please refer vsiuser.jpg file.

Also in the VSIShare folder, profile folder is empty even after i have tried the below steps in AD.

browse to CVDI.com->login_VSI->Users->Target
Selected all the login vsi users and right click properties.
Click profile tab
Checked profile path box, and typed \\VMDC\VSIShare\profiles\%username%

Reger profile.jpg.

This may be the reason for this issue ?

Ajith,

I think both issues are caused by not being able to write to the VSI share. You are able to access it but you cannot create/write files. Try creating a folder and/or a text file.

What our customers are saying

Chris Gebhardt - NetApp

“We use Login VSI to make sure that what we are recommending to our customers is much better than what their guesses are. Because if you don't do proper assessment and if you don’t use Login VSI, your architecture is just a guess.”

Chris Gebhardt, Senior Technical Marketing Engineer at NetApp

Kelly Murphy - Gridstore

"Ultimately, VDI is about performance. If a customer's virtual experience is not as fast as the physical experience, they don’t use it. Login VSI is great in helping us to really quantify and to show performance, to test systems and design those systems in such a way to ensure that you can deliver that kind of performance."

Kelly Murphy, CTO and Founder at HyperGrid

Tristan Todd - VMware

“Login VSI is my favorite test orchestration and simulation tool for large-scale reference architecture testing. Not only do we use it in our testing, but we work with partners who use Login VSI exclusively, with the idea that you create the most realistic simulated workload at scale, to really test infrastructure and software capabilities. What’s more, getting the results and be able to measure yourself across platforms and across vendor solutions is just fantastic and is unequalled in the industry.”

Tristan Todd, EUC Architect at VMware
