jbonanno created the topic: Adobe Reader halting logoff

We had no issues with the tests when running non-mashup workloads; however, when running mashups the Adobe Reader (10.1.0) Product Improvement Program kept popping up and this would stop the logoff process at the end of the test. Windows would say it was waiting for the programs to end.

We were testing about 150 Win7 machines in a VDI environment.

Before you provision a bunch of machines to test, you may want to login and say NO on the base image so this window does not popup.

The version of Adobe Reader that we supply with Login VSI is installed using a answer file (MST) that will prevent popups like these.

If you do not wish to use the included version of Adobe Reader we expect the environment to be setup in a way that users do not get popups like these.

You can create a MST file for Adobe Reader using the Adobe Customization Wizard.

What our customers are saying

Bill Kleyman - MTM Technologies

"From the engineering perspective and from the architecture perspective, we absolutely love the technology behind Login VSI. We actually use Login VSI as a pro-active tool to help our customers understand the dynamic nature of a datacenter and the business."

Bill Kleyman, VP of Strategy and Innovation at MTM Technologies

Andrew Mills - Nutanix

“Predictability is a key piece to VDI. It’s one of reasons that VDI has scared people away, but Login VSI solves that. If you’re going to do it, do it right. Login VSI really gives that rubber stamp on doing it right.”

Andrew Mills, VDI Alliances Manager at Nutanix

Tristan Todd - VMware

“Login VSI is my favorite test orchestration and simulation tool for large-scale reference architecture testing. Not only do we use it in our testing, but we work with partners who use Login VSI exclusively, with the idea that you create the most realistic simulated workload at scale, to really test infrastructure and software capabilities. What’s more, getting the results and be able to measure yourself across platforms and across vendor solutions is just fantastic and is unequalled in the industry.”

Tristan Todd, EUC Architect at VMware
