Hi Jack,

I suggest to run the Launchers and VDI environment on different hosts. The Launchers separately and the VDIs separately. Due to the requirements of the Launchers and the consuming resources they use.

Launcher requirements;

- 2(v)CPUs and a minimum of 2GB RAM.
- Maximum of 50 test session per Launcher.

1000 Users is 20 Launchers, 20x50=1000. So you will need 20 Launchers.

I suggest to use VMs and the platform is independent, as long as they are a Windows Based platform. You can work with Windows 7.

1= Windows 7
2= One host 20 Launchers
3= 2(v)CPUs and a minimum of 2GB RAM, Maximum of 50 test session per Launcher.

I hope this answers you're questions.

What our customers are saying

Eduardo Molina - RoundTower Technologies

"Login VSI support is fantastic. I had one issue, things were not working. I sent an email, got a call the next morning and the guy knew exactly what I was talking about and we just solved the issue in less than an hour. And that was one thing that was really, really great, the support that we get from Login VSI is fantastic."

Eduardo Molina, Virtualization and Cloud Architect at RoundTower Technologies

Andrew Mills - Nutanix

“Predictability is a key piece to VDI. It’s one of reasons that VDI has scared people away, but Login VSI solves that. If you’re going to do it, do it right. Login VSI really gives that rubber stamp on doing it right.”

Andrew Mills, VDI Alliances Manager at Nutanix

Michael Bernas - Workers' Compensation Board Alberta

“We've used Login VSI for the past 3 years as part of our Disaster Recovery Exercise. It's not only helped us in validating the functionality of our Citrix XenApp farm, but it's also been an invaluable tool in proving the number of concurrent connections into the environments. It’s allowed us to take our theoretical numbers and put actual real life data behind them.”
