vsuryana created the topic: Launcher not ready when creating profiles
Hello, I am trying to run the launcher for the first time and have checked the create profiles button. But the launcher is struck in "not ready" state forever. Can you please help me in resolving this issue? Also, in the test configuration, under the connections section, the server name is the target server name, correct? And the username and password are the target's username and password, right?

Thanks.

Hello vsuryana,

Did you run the launcher agent?
Did you configure the launcher in the management console by it's hostname? See the attached screenshot.

Hello Dennis, thank you so much. It worked now. But, I am having a connection issue. The connection server name, username and password is for the target machine right? Or is it the name of the launcher or something else? Because, I get an error when connecting to the target.

Thanks.

Hello vsuryana,

It depends on the platform you are trying to connect to. Have a look at our admin guide, specifically the Connect to your Target Environment section.

What our customers are saying

Sajad Shah - Cancer Research

"Login VSI has empowered us to make more informed decisions on releasing a new vDisk which we now do on a monthly basis. We have found that Login VSI tests can also flag other issues in our environment that may not be picked up by our standard User Testing which allows us to either make the appropriate changes to the vDisk or workload script adjustments to run successful tests. This has given us peace of mind and allows us to release VDI’s with confidence."

Sajad Shah, Senior Technical Analyst at Cancer Research UK

Randy Groves - Teradici

"As the developer of the PCoIP protocol, we do a lot of our own internal benchmarking to make sure that we’re continuing to improve our protocol. But we can’t actually publish our internal benchmarks because everybody might think that the tests are biased. So when we want to publish results, we use Login VSI. That way, if a customer wants to repeat our results they can.”

Randy Groves, CTO at Teradici

Shai Maskit - Kaminario

“We tested 750 seats so customers can compare Kaminario with solutions from other vendors. It really comes down to delivering the best user experience at the right price point. As soon as we show the solution and that it has been validated by Login VSI customers can rest assured that it will fit the rest of their environment.”
