rtalekar created the topic: Create profile test does not create profile
Hi,

I am performing a VMWare view 1000 users test with 100 launchers. I tried to run the create profile and a subsequent light workload test. During workload test I observed that all the users were logged in to the desktops but test did not begin on all the desktops.

After further investigation I found that desktops which were able to run the test had some B, G, H drives mapped which were not present on the desktop which were running the test. All the desktops are cloned from the same image. Also when I manually tried to start the test on one of the desktop and it failed as it could not configure outlook or read files from H:\ drive.

Can someone help me figure out what the issue is?

Hello,

Can you tel me if you ran the AD setup? The B, G and H drives are needed to run the tests. The drives are mapped by a logon script specified in the AD (by the AD setup).

So a month back I did a Login VSI 3 testing for 500 users and then used the same AD setup for this new Login VSI 3.5 testing. I added new users in the OU's created by Login VSI 3 and extended the setup for 1000 users.

Ok I found out that the users which login VSI tool setup has some logon scripts in it which are not present on the users I setup using a custom batch file. I will recreate the AD setup again using VSI AD tool.
Thanks for the quick reply.

What our customers are saying

Randy Groves - Teradici

"As the developer of the PCoIP protocol, we do a lot of our own internal benchmarking to make sure that we’re continuing to improve our protocol. But we can’t actually publish our internal benchmarks because everybody might think that the tests are biased. So when we want to publish results, we use Login VSI. That way, if a customer wants to repeat our results they can.”
