I am checking at the log files shown under the section "Raw Data" in the VSI Analyzer. Some of the log files shown in the GUI are not exist in the "DebugLog" folder for the test run.

Do we know in what kind of situations this issue happens? We are seeing some sessions are getting disconnected during the test and seems like these missing files are for those disconnected sessions.

Hello,

This might happen when session reset is enabled.

Did you have session reset enabled?

No Dennis, We have not enabled session reset. We are using the default values for all parameters in the 'Workload Configuration".

Also, Is there anyway we can see which users are getting disconnected during the test run. We are finding difficult to see whether VSI drops the connection or the connection broker drops the connection. We are not seeing any stuck sessions at the end of the test and also VSIMax is not reached for these tests.

Yes, It is being disconnected. We are testing VMware View. Below is the message from VMware View logs. It first disconnects and then after logging off. Not sure whether View Client getting disconnected.

We are using 24 launchers for 600-1000 users test. 800 users logging in 30-45mins period and steady state(Auto logoff timeout) is 20mins, but disconnect issue starts in the login period itself.

The session disconnect issue starts at ~600th user for Heavy user and ~700th user for Medium user and ~850th user for Light user. Till 600 users we are not seeing any issues.

What our customers are saying

Michael Mainusch - Dachser

“With Login VSI, we can simulate the effects and compatibilities of applications and patches, as well as scaling in a virtualized terminal server environment, with minimal expenditure of time. Due to the adaptability of Login VSI to individual customer environments, we can simulate the real production environment, using the achieved measurement results and assertions.”

Michael Mainusch, Team Leader Application Services at Dachser

Michael Cooper - Citrix

"We use Login VSI as a level set. If we are looking at a system that we are putting on brand new hardware or that we are putting in the cloud, we may see those environments completely differently but the end result is: is the user going to have a good solid happy user experience? And what Login VSI provides us on all three platforms is fairly consistent apples-to-apples comparison: is the user happy?"

Michael Cooper, Director of Solutions Architecture and Global Alliances at Citrix Systems

Kelly Murphy - Gridstore

"Ultimately, VDI is about performance. If a customer's virtual experience is not as fast as the physical experience, they don’t use it. Login VSI is great in helping us to really quantify and to show performance, to test systems and design those systems in such a way to ensure that you can deliver that kind of performance."
