Login VSI Version: 4.1.4.2 Pro
Test system: VMware Horizon 6
Operating system version target: Windows 8.1-64bits
Operating system version launcher: Windows 8.1-64bits
Office version target: Office 2013 (Activated)

Finally I could set up my first test, I have been testing 1VM and 10VMs. I am getting an error related to MS Word, the first time Word is launched in all the VMs asks for an initial configuration with a pop-up, so I have to click by manual to skip these messages in all the 10 VMs. My first test fail but for the second one everything is OK.

At this point is not a big problem because I only have few VMs but in the future I will to test more than 200 and I don’t plan to do this to all of them by manual…

I am not sure what to do to avoid this, I had done this initial configuration already in the Master template, don’t know if Sysprep will change this. Have someone had a similar issue?
Please see the images attached, I took the images from another VM but is the same issue.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Mulcas,

Can you make sure you have set the right Office version in the settings tab of the management console. This setting will help prevent those messages.

Kind regards,

Jasper

Hello j.geelen,

The right version and language of office are configured (Office 2013 / English). Just double check it. Another suggestion?

Thanks!

Hi Mulcas,

Are the Login VSI GPO's applied?
www.loginvsi.com/documentation/Login_VSI_All_Settings

You could also prevent the messages with the Office 2013 ADMX template:

Kind regards,

Jasper

Hello Jasper,

I will try this and run another test then see what happens, or maybe just move to Office 2007.

Thanks.

What our customers are saying

Rob Girard - Tintri

"You would be somewhat nuts to go to production with VDI without first and constantly re-evaluating with Login VSI. Always run all your changes through it so there are no surprises. Surprises in VDI never just hit one or two users--it's all or nothing.”

Rob Girard, Technical Marketing Engineer at Tintri

Todd Mace - PernixData

"Login VSI has been a great partner for us. Customers use PernixData with Login VSI to help validate their user experience. Login VSI helps to see what their performance bottlenecks are and our software helps to mediate some of that. Login VSI has been a kind of defacto standard to be able to help that validation and help the customer to be able to come up with a solution to fix it."

Todd Mace, Product Manager at PernixData

Sajad Shah - Cancer Research

"Login VSI has empowered us to make more informed decisions on releasing a new vDisk which we now do on a monthly basis. We have found that Login VSI tests can also flag other issues in our environment that may not be picked up by our standard User Testing which allows us to either make the appropriate changes to the vDisk or workload script adjustments to run successful tests. This has given us peace of mind and allows us to release VDI’s with confidence."
