MDoyle created the topic: Home drive as UNC path instead of drive letter?
Is it possible to configure LoginVSI to use the local \Documents directory or a unc path like \\domain\share\user instead of H: and G: ?

We use folder redirection to host user document directories on central storage. Users get there by saving to their MyDocuments directory or by UNC path. There is no mapped drive.

Thanks for any ideas

Hello, yes, it is possible. H: maps to "%temp%\VSI\HomeDrive", and g: is mapped to "\\<vsishare>\_vsi_content".
If you have profile managers, such as AppSense, you can set it in that.
Hope this helps.

What our customers are saying

Dan O'Farrell - Dell

"The primary goal of our VDI appliances is to simplify and to take the guesswork out of VDI, and the Login VSI tests help us to do that from a performance expectation capability. When we offer one of our appliances to our customers, we deliver benchmarks that are validated using multiple Login VSI workloads. When compared to a customer’s workload, these Login VSI-enabled benchmarks allow precise sizing estimations to be created."

Dan O'Farrell, Director, Product Marketing, Cloud & Client at Dell

Maarten Bruijnesteijn - PPG

"We are using Login VSI for hardware scaling. By testing the number of users that can run on our environment, we know the amount of hardware that we will need upfront. We also use Login VSI in our production acceptance process to test changes to the system to evaluate changes to the environment."

Maarten Bruijnesteijn, System Software Analyst at PPG Industries

Keith Hageman - Micron

"When I joined Micron in June 2014, the first thing I did is find out if we have a copy of Login VSI and if we could run a 1000 user test case instance (which we could). We use Login VSI to run tests for customers and for case studies and I really have loved Login VSI for the last 3 or 4 years.”
