why the response time of Medium workload is high as compare with power work

Dear Support Team,

I run my test 4 time for medium workload(office worker) then run my test 4 time for heavy workload (power worker) for 20 user as well as for 30 users.

After taking the average of the 4 tests. Once I compare the average CPU response time then I observe that the medium workload achieved higher response as power workload.

I was predicting that the power workload average CPU response will be higher than the office workload which is office worker (Please see attached file result. in graph "M= medium workload" and "H= High workload" ).
How I will interpret the root cause of this effect?
Because in the same tests the response time for others transition power workload has high response then office worker.
Please, if possible give me your feedback ASAP.

Thanks in advance :)

Hello there,

Newer versions of VSI (4.1 - 4.1.x) use different workloads, and also different names. Please see this page which explains...:
www.loginvsi.com/documentation/Changes_old_and_new_workloads
What VSI version are you running?

Josh

Thanks for response.

I am using the latest version of Login VSI 4.1.

By the way, I already visit the link u provide in your reply.

I test office worker and power worker in my VDI. (VD having 2 virtual CPU and 2GB RAM).

I was stuck to interpret (during CPU response time) although the office worker workload is medium but still his response time is higher than the power worker which is a heavy workload.

Hafizdir,

I have attached an image of the breakdown of utilization of resources, based upon the knowledge worker.

To further address the question:

Is the infrastructure completely dedicated for the test, or are there shared components / additional production servers running?

Yes, the infrastructure was completely dedicated to the test.
and the Login VSI tool and network component is install in one machine and the target environment was separately installed.

Furthermore, for each test we restart both machines before starting the test and we repeat the test more than 5 times.
