[SOLVED] - Office2016 Outlook failed to launch

Hi,
All our test session are hang at Outlook launch, Outlook just showing "Processing...." won't proceed further. And all sessions evenrually all timed out. see attached screenshots. VM are Window10 x64 with Office 2016, knowledge workload.

Have you selected the correct Office version in the management console under settings?

yes, i did select Office 2016 in MMC, see attached.

Hello there,

What happens when you manually start a session with a user and attempt to open Outlook? Can you please compress and email us your log files to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. ? These log files are at \\<vsi_share>\_vsi_logfiles\<name_of_your_test> and mention this forum thread about the Office Outlook 2016 failing to launch.

the problem resolved. Session display resolution seems to be the problem. Once we changed the sessions to launch at a higher resolution, Outlook launched without issues. Not sure if the resolution is required by Outlook 2016.
