Hello,

Just been asked to implement LoginVSI as load test in one of our AD domain. That domain is a windows 2003 AD so there is no easy way to run theses powershell script into taht specific AD without installing a but of thing on a domain controller.

Ïs there another way to make this happen ? Or at least is there a complete documentation of what that script is actualy doing ? The GPO it create, what do they contain ?

Thank you

Hello Chuck,

I have attached a document detailing the actions the AD setup script takes. This should allow you to create the objects manually. If you do not want to make changes to the AD then you need to make sure that the following happens:
1. \\yourserver\VSIshare\_VSI_Binaries\Target\Logon.cmd is ran once the user logs on.
2. Depending on how you achieve step 1 you might also need to set the “Engine startup” setting to chained. Normally the VSI logon script is started before Windows Explorer is started. If your method in step 1 does not allow the script to complete before Windows Explorer is started then you need to set this setting. See the attached screenshot for the setting.

The contents of the group policy objects are described in section 5.1.3 of the documentation.
