Login VSI Fatal Error

I have recently started to get a error on heavy workload tests during the section 4 – relax portion of the test. It seems to be random and not happening on all desktops. It started with “The window IE5 did not appear quitting workload. VSI will stop executing”. The IE windows stays open and CPU starts to spike. I tried to address it by adding an “App_Focus” and “App_Close to that section in the workload. But I am still getting the same thing. I am attaching the debug logs and a screen capture form my last run. Any idea what would be causing this?

After making the changes in the workload to close the app I am now getting the error on almost every desktop and on more than just the web game section. I will reply to your email with the original logs plus the ones from the last run.

Update: I went back to the original un-modified VSI Heavy workload and I'm still getting random "Fatal Error" during "IE5" section of the loop.

Has there been any resolution to this issue? I am seeing this on VSI 4.0.8 running on Windows 8.1.

I should add, this is happening on about 10% of sessions

I believe this had something to do with flash redirection. What platform are you running tests on?

ESX 5.5 and Hyperv 2012 R2. Right now the problem is just on ESX. The desktops are Windows 8.1 32-bit. The broker is XenDesktop 7.1 using PVS 7.1

Started using Hyper-V 2012 R2 and I'm having the same problems again. You had said in one of your post that you think it might have something to do with Flash redirection. Can you explain more about that? I have upgraded the Flash to the most recent, rev 14.

Hi,

In Server test environments, the requirement is at least to have the following role configured/installed:

- "Desktop Experience"

and in 2012R2 IE11 is setup by default. Therefore it may occur that the new IE feature can cause an issue too. Check out: www.loginvsi.com/documentation/Frequentl...Internet_Explorer_11

Let us know if this solves your Flash issue.
