Hi,

I'm performing load test on Xendesktop 7 infrastructure.

I try to resize the launched (DeskopViewer) Windows with SFconnect.exe, the parameter /display seems to be not handled. The Windows is still "fullscreen".

I tested the two cases with the command line:
/display absolute /displayabsolute 640x480
/display percent /displaypercent 50

I found no ways to fix it. Any idea ?

To notice, there's a bug with the Connection wizard, it creates a command line with /displaypercentage parameter when the desktop size is set. But the required parameter by SFconnect.exe is /displaypercent

Thanks !

Pierre,

This is a known issue regarding SFConnect. SFConnect uses the Storefront API and sets the correct value but Storefront seems to ignore it. We have created a ticket in our issue/bug tracker internally to investigate further. I do not have a solution or workaround at this time.

Hi Dennis,

I found a workaround to avoid the fullscreen. It will be enough for the moment :)

Thanks

Hello Pierre,

Could you share the workaround so other users can apply it as well?

What our customers are saying

Bill Galloway - Pivot3

“The labs at Pivot3 have hundreds of machines. A portion of those are running different Login VSI configurations so we can be constantly configuring with different hardware to see how that affects desktops. Then we tweak the RAM and CPU, and tune so we know how many users we can support.”

Bill Galloway, Founder and CTO at Pivot3

Michael Cooper - Citrix

"We use Login VSI as a level set. If we are looking at a system that we are putting on brand new hardware or that we are putting in the cloud, we may see those environments completely differently but the end result is: is the user going to have a good solid happy user experience? And what Login VSI provides us on all three platforms is fairly consistent apples-to-apples comparison: is the user happy?"

Michael Cooper, Director of Solutions Architecture and Global Alliances at Citrix Systems

Paul Bray - Computacenter

"We needed a robust method of evaluating multiple different platforms in a systematic and consistent manner. We chose Login VSI as it is the best of breed and met all of our requirements. Login VSI helps us to address one key aim - How can we exploit new technologies to deliver the best Virtual Desktop user experience possible?"
