psw123 created the topic: agent path in version 4.04
documentation refers to VSIShare\_VSI_Binaries\Launcher\Agent.exe but the only Agent.exe I have is in VSIShare\_VSI_Binaries\Connectors\Launcher\Agent.exe
same is true for the Session Monitor

I launch these and they appear to start the correct things but when I try and start a test all I get is "Launcher stand-by: Waiting to prepare test"

Scott,

1. Can you check what the VSIshare is according to the agent? The agent prints the location it uses to the console when it is started.
2. Can you check if you still have a installer log because the folder structure you describe is not intended. You can find the installer log in the the following location on the machine where you did the initial dataserver setup: "%temp%\VSI\log\VSI_Installer.log". This file will be fairly large but zipping it should reduce it substantially. You can also email it to us if you do not feel comfortable posting it to a public forum.

What our customers are saying

Tristan Todd - VMware

“Login VSI is my favorite test orchestration and simulation tool for large-scale reference architecture testing. Not only do we use it in our testing, but we work with partners who use Login VSI exclusively, with the idea that you create the most realistic simulated workload at scale, to really test infrastructure and software capabilities. What’s more, getting the results and be able to measure yourself across platforms and across vendor solutions is just fantastic and is unequalled in the industry.”

Tristan Todd, EUC Architect at VMware

Chris Gebhardt - NetApp

“We use Login VSI to make sure that what we are recommending to our customers is much better than what their guesses are. Because if you don't do proper assessment and if you don’t use Login VSI, your architecture is just a guess.”

Chris Gebhardt, Senior Technical Marketing Engineer at NetApp

Andrew Mills - Nutanix

“Predictability is a key piece to VDI. It’s one of reasons that VDI has scared people away, but Login VSI solves that. If you’re going to do it, do it right. Login VSI really gives that rubber stamp on doing it right.”

Andrew Mills, VDI Alliances Manager at Nutanix
