ZNC Test Detail

Hello,

Is anyone able to provide more detail on what the ZNC test actually does?

I can see from the documentation that it is responsible for running 7-zip and compressing a 5MB zip file with "no-compression".

Looking at the log output from a recent test run (see attached) it appears as if this is the test which was largely responsible for determining the VSI max figure.

Does anyone know where this file is accessed from? Is it on the local system drive of the virtual machine or does it read it from a UNC path? The description suggests local but I want to be sure.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Dan Gothard

Dan,

The ZNC test is fairly straightforward. We simply measure how long it takes for the following command to complete
7za.exe a -mx0 -t7z "%temp%\VSI\Zip\VSI7ZNC.7z" "%temp%\VSI\Zip\ZipPSTNC.pst"

The PST file is a random PST file copied from the content pool (G drive by default, mapped to \\server\vsishare\_VSI_Content). The file copy is not included in the timer.
