    Deploying and maintaining VDI is a challenge for every company. There are so many decisions to make and the speed of change seems to be accelerating. Because we are all constantly trying to make the best use of constrained resources, a question we get regularly here at Login VSI has to do with scaling tests. It goes something like: “If I want to find out the number of servers I need, I simply test how many users I can put on one server then multiply by the number of users I need to support. Right?”

Depending on which applications are virtualized it is possible to run the medium workload without any modifications. When every application is virtualized some modifications are required.     Citrix EdgeSight for Load Testing is End of Life

    The load testing component of Citrix EdgeSight (ESLT) is being discontinued and will not be included in XenApp and XenDesktop releases in 2013 and beyond. End of Maintenance (EOM) was June 30, 2013. End of Life (EOL) is planned December 31, 2013. Citrix recommends the use of other available load testing tools like Login VSI.

    Citrix releases white paper on how to use Login VSI in testing XenDesktop

    Citrix released a whitepaper that helps customers to use Login VSI to thoroughly test XenDesktop. The worldwide consulting team of Citrix that created this whitepaper is using Login VSI as their tool of choice to run all sorts of tests against their product to advise Citrix’ customers. The XenDesktop development team is also actively using the possibilities of Login VSI to stress not only XenDesktop but also stress Login VSI to its max by initiating more than 5000 sessions in a few minutes.
