Testing the Performance Impact of Windows 10 2004 Update
It’s that time again…When Microsoft tosses their next Windows 10 feature update over to us. The May 2020 Update (or 2004) is scheduled to be generally available by end of May.
A newer Windows version often means a change in performance and scalability and as with every change or upgrade in your environment, it is hard to predict the impact. Are you curious to find out what upgrading to Windows 10 2004 could do to the performance of your (centralized) environment? Let’s put it to the test!
Login VSI performance experts Mark Plettenberg and Lorna Crawford will discuss the 2004 update. Expect them to share results from the Login VSI test lab and provide insights on how to secure the best possible application performance and end-user experience, when upgrading to Windows 10 – 2004.
A highlight of the performance testing results we’ll be discussing:
- Windows 10 versions 1803, 1909, 1903, 1909 and 2004:
- Without optimization
- VMware OSOT
- Citrix Optimizer
- All performed on the latest Microsoft builds (April 2020 update)
- General best practices when you decide to upgrade
