Our Most Requested Feature Has Arrived: Hydra 1.2.0 is Here!
September 30, 2025
We’re thrilled to announce the launch of Hydra version 1.2.0.0, and it’s delivering one of our most requested features yet.
Starting today, you can now create, edit, and delete host pools, application groups, and workspaces directly in Hydra. That means no more switching back and forth to the Azure Portal for everyday AVD tasks.
This release was driven by your feedback. You asked, we listened, and we delivered.
Before Hydra 1.2.0.0: Portal-Hopping

Until now, administrators had to manage host pools through the Azure Portal. While functional, it added extra steps, extra context switching, and slowed down workflows.
Now in Hydra: Simplicity in Just a Few Clicks

With Hydra 1.2.0.0, you can now:
- Create new host pools without ever leaving Hydra
- Edit existing host pools quickly and consistently
- Delete or clean up application groups and workspaces in seconds
What used to take multiple steps in another tool can now be done in just a few clicks inside Hydra.
Customer-Driven Innovation
This update is a direct response to feedback from our customers. You told us how important it was to bring host pool and workspace management into Hydra. We prioritized this with one simple mission: make AVD management faster, smarter, and more intuitive while being guided by your feedback.
