Workspace Weekly: 6.3 feature – Filter Continuous Test Events by Timespan and Test Name
October 30, 2025
This week’s Workspace Weekly digs into a Login Enterprise 6.3 feature that helps you find event results faster in a noisy world. Better Continuous Test event filtering in the Login Enterprise web UI, plus richer filters in Login Enterprise’s API! You can now zero in on the exact time window and test you care about while automating deeper event queries for reporting and RCA.
What does this mean in short? Simply put: You get more of what matters, less of what doesn’t.
Check out this docs for step-by-step directions: Viewing Continuous Testing Results: Events.

What it means for you
Troubleshooting usually starts with time and test guess. Before, you could only pick a single day and narrow the limited hour ranges. With the 6.3 release, you can set any start and end time and filter by test name, then move straight to the handful of events that matter.
For automation and exports, the API adds even more filters, so your scripts can ask precise questions and pull just the rows you need.
What you get
- Faster triage: Jump to the exact window in question and the test that produced the signal.
- Cleaner handoffs: Share focused timelines with SecOps, SRE, or app owners.
- Better automation: Scriptable event queries for reporting, audits, and RCA packets.
How it works
In the web UI (Continuous Test events):
- Use the custom date picker to select any timespan.
- Filter by test name to narrow the event list.
- Combine both to focus on a specific Test during a specific window.
In the API (all test types):
- Query events with filters for test name, event type, description, application name, launcher name, account name, target host, and occurred time.
- Occurred time applies to load test and application test events for precise time slicing.
- Use the API to export only the fields and rows you need into your reporting pipeline.
Note: The richer event filters are available today via Public API v8-preview. Similar advanced filtering in the UI is planned for a future release.
Check out how to use this feature in a demo:
Real-world examples
- SRE on call: A blip was reported between 09:40 and 10:05. Select the exact window and the affected test. Review just those events, then export the incident timeline.
- SecOps investigation: Limit your view to a single test and a two-hour span around a suspected credential issue. Share the filtered list as evidence without noise.
- Weekly reporting: A script pulls events for a set of tests, filtered by event type and occurred time, and drops a CSV into your analytics workspace.
Quick tips
- Start with the narrowest time range you believe is relevant, then widen only if needed.
- Use consistent test naming, so the test name filter does more work for you.
- For automation, store your filter set in source control so analysts can reuse the same queries.
- When exporting, include occurred time and test name in your sort for readable timelines.
