For this sneak peek, I pointed the Web Recorder at the AVD workspace portal, clicked Record, signed in, navigated to the app I needed, and launched it. Then I stopped the recording and hit Play to verify. The playback followed each step, just like I did, and confirmed the connector in a couple of minutes.
