Alvaro Monserrat
Alvaro (Al) Monserrat has more than 25 years of technology leadership experience, across enterprise software, mobility, cloud, networking, and business strategy. Al is a partner at Corten Capital and focuses on driving growth and value creation at numerous companies in a variety of board and CEO advisory roles.
Al currently serves as Chair of Matrix42, a leader in digital workspace solutions, Chair of itopia, an innovator in cloud automation and orchestration, and is on the board of Seacoast Bank. Most recently, Al helped HYCU (acquired by Bain Ventures) and Momentum Consulting (acquired by CGI) attain growth levels that led to their successful acquisition. Prior to his current roles, Al was President of the Imaging Division at Nuance Communications and CEO at RES Software. Al also spent 15 years at Citrix, where he built the go-to-market engine that grew the company from $300M to more than $3B in revenue. Previously Al was a partner at Innovex Group, a technology services organization that was acquired by Citrix, and a manager at Accenture, where he led complex technology projects for global corporations.
Al received his undergraduate degree in Computer Science from the University of Miami and his MBA from the University of Texas at Austin. He was born in Costa Rica and has lived across Latin America, Spain and the United States. He currently spends most of his time in South Florida.
