How the Hydra Certification Exam Works

Getting certified is straightforward by design.

Step 1 – Deploy Hydra and get hands-on. Start with your lab or test environment, or if you’re already running Hydra in production, you’re likely most of the way there. Work through the platform’s core capabilities using the official documentation and training videos: deployment and tenant configuration, image lifecycle management, session host provisioning, autoscaling, and the core security model. The goal is familiarity with how things  work, not a bunch of slide memorization.

Step 2 – Work Through the Training. Our training modules are built around the same philosophies that built Hydra, meaning they’re practical, hands-on material organized around how to manage AVD and Windows 365 workspaces day-to-day like a pro. You’ll walk away fully equipped to manage AVD and Windows 365 workspaces at the level your organization needs, and ready to pass the exam with confidence.

Step 3 – Take the exam. The exam tests practical knowledge through real operational scenarios you’d actually encounter managing AVD and Cloud PC workspaces day to day. It’s open book (we recommend having the Hydra Portal, trainings, and documentation open in separate tabs), 60 multiple choice questions, and requires a 75% or higher to pass.
