Nutanix and Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops: Windows Server on vSphere

The Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops and Nutanix solution provides a single high-density platform for virtual desktop delivery. This modular, linear scaling approach lets you grow Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops deployments easily.

On Nutanix, available host CPU resources drive Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops user density, rather than any I/O or resource bottlenecks for Windows Server session host VMs. Login Enterprise test results showed densities at 135 sessions per Nutanix node for Windows Server session host VMs running the Login Enterprise knowledge worker workload.

Nutanix results show that if you use MCS-published or Citrix Provisioning–streamed desktops to linearly scale the Citrix on Nutanix solution, the system maintains a good Login Enterprise EUX Score regardless of how many nodes you have.
